VIDEO: Bomb Squad destroys item at Vermont high school

After police "disposed" of the "suspicious item," it was determined the item posed no threat at all and "was not explosive." Well, not explosive until the police exploded it - twice. Oh yeah, in addition to this one, another Vermont high school also evacuted its students after it received a bomb threat.

ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. -- Two Vermont high schools were evacuated Wednesday after school officials noted threats at the schools.

Essex High School was evacuated Wednesday morning after what police called a "suspicious item" was located in the school.

There were no injuries or property damage caused by the item, but the school was evacuated in accordance with the school's emergency operations plan, according to Essex police.
