Ex-Paterson teacher pleads not guilty to sexual assault of 16-year-old student

Dirtbag claims he's innocent and raped the girl not as her teacher, but as a an average pervert you'd find on the internet or alley behind a strip club.

PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS — A former teacher at a Paterson high school accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old female student at his home in Parsippany claims he is innocent, and was not her teacher and had no "supervisory role" over her outside of school, his attorney said today.

Scott Van Hoven, 43, formerly employed at John F. Kennedy High School, was charged Wednesday with sexually assaulting the girl May 19 and May 23 at his apartment.

An affidavit alleges Van Hoven was the girl’s drama class teacher as well as supervisor for the school play, "Little Shop of Horrors," in which she participated April 16 and 17.
