Youths Found Lighting Book, Paper On Fire Behind School

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Four youths who lit a text book and papers on fire behind a Sacramento school to celebrate the end of the year were cited for arson, police said.
The students -- who are 12 and 13 years old -- were seen by an off-duty sheriff's deputy at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday as they torched the items behind California Middle School on Vallejo Way, a police report said.The students were released to the custody of their parents, the report said.
