CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A former band director at South Mecklenburg High School was arrested early Thursday and charged with indecent liberties with a student.
Richard Priode, 44, who lives on Green Lea Court in Charlotte, was arrested after an investigation that took about two months. He left South Mecklenburg High last June and taught during the recent academic year at Sullivan Middle School in Rock Hill.
