Police: Bus Driver May Have Assaulted Girl, May Be More Victims

15-Year-Old Admits To Relationship With 24-Year-Old; Bus Driver 'Said He Had No Idea How Young The Girl Was'

MERIDEN, Conn. -- Court documents indicate that a Meriden bus driver may have sexually assaulted a student on his route on at least three occasions.

Police said the student, a 15-year-old girl, was 14 when the incidents allegedly took place. They said the girl told them that a relationship with the 24-year-old bus driver, identified as John Arthur Williams, progressed over the school year.

According to the police report, the Meriden teen said she "had a crush on the school bus driver."

Eventually, it states, the girl gave Williams her phone number.
